Our verdict

HONOR 400 Pro (59/100, about ₱32,999) scores highest of the five high-end phones we read on Lazada, ahead of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max (57/100, ₱85,890) and, tied at 54, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Xiaomi 17T and OPPO Reno15. HONOR gives a named Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 512GB and a 6000mAh battery at less than half the price of the iPhone or Galaxy; the iPhone has the strongest seller record.

No phone scored above 59, because none of the listings shows an NTC reference or any other Philippine approval, and the specification tables of the Apple and Samsung listings contradict the products they describe. We read five listings from official shops, one per brand; we did not read other flagships in the search (such as the iPhone 18 range, POCO F9 Pro and HONOR Magic9 Pro Max), so this is not a full market list. General advice: charge with the maker’s charger and stop using a phone that swells or overheats. This is a listing review, not a hands-on test.

We searched Lazada for “smartphone” on Lazada with the LazMall filter, price ₱30,000 to ₱150,000, sorted by popularity on November 1, 2026, picked one phone per brand from official shops with large sales, read each listing and its reviews, and ranked five.

₱64 to ₱336 per GB

Price per GB of storage runs from about ₱64.45 (HONOR 400 Pro, 512GB) to about ₱335.51 (iPhone 17 Pro Max, 256GB), more than five times as much. The phones differ in chip, camera and software, so this is a rough value guide, not a verdict on quality. Prices were checked on 2026-11-01.

Prices and stock checked on November 1, 2026. Compliance: we looked for an NTC type-approval reference and a PS or ICC mark in each listing text and found none; we did not examine photos or description images. The chip entries marked “see note” look wrong or old in the seller’s table and were not verified. We did not use or test any product unless a hands-on note says so.

What the RAM, storage and chip on a high-end phone listing mean

High-end listings lead with camera and AI claims, but the specification table is often filled in by the seller. We scored what each listing states, flagged entries that contradict the product, and read buyer reviews separately. Our evidence is the listings and the reviews we read on 2026-11-01, not a benchmark or hands-on test.

  • “24GB” in a title can mean 12GB of RAM plus 12GB of extended RAM borrowed from storage; extended RAM is not extra physical memory (general information).
  • A table that lists an old chip for a new phone is likely a template value; check the maker’s own specification page before relying on it (general advice).
  • A phone is a radio device with a lithium battery and a mains charger, so a missing NTC reference or PS mark is a real gap; a mark would prove a mark, not that your unit is safe (general information).

What the claims on these listings actually mean

Compliance marksNone shown in the listing text or specification table (no NTC reference, no PS or ICC mark). A phone is a radio device with a battery and a charger, so this matters. Photos and description images were not examined.
Specifications statedSnapdragon 8 Gen 3; 6.7 inch display, 2800×1280; 12GB RAM plus 12GB extended RAM with 512GB storage; 6000mAh battery; 200MP camera (title). Warranty 1 year (local supplier).
Claims“200MP AI Camera”, “24(12+12)GB”, “Your AI Phone”, “6000mAh Silicon Carbon Battery” (other listing for the same phone).
InconsistenciesThe title says 24GB, but 12 of those GB are extended RAM borrowed from storage, which the title writes as “(12+12)”. The specification table also holds a “Coming Soon” launch date for a phone on sale.
SellerHONOR Retail: LazMall authenticity text shown, about 1 year on Lazada, 64.8K sold by store, seller rating 98%. Listing rated 5.0 from 109 ratings.
What buyers reportOnly 2 one-star or two-star ratings exist out of 109; we read the one the site returned (11 Aug 2025) and the 10 most recent overall. None describe a fault. A very small sample.
Price₱32,999 on 2026-11-01, about ₱64.45 per GB of storage.

HONOR gives the most hardware for the money here: a named Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 512GB and a 6000mAh battery at ₱32,999, from an official LazMall shop.

The “24GB” in the title includes 12GB of extended RAM, the rating base is small (109), and the warranty is 1 year from a local supplier.

Why it scored well

  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 512GB named
  • Lowest price per GB of the five (₱64.45)
  • LazMall shop with 64.8K sold

ClaimsThe title is the product name only; no marketing claims.
InconsistenciesThe table lists an “Apple A17 Pro” chip and a “6 to 6.4 inches” screen, while another Apple listing on Lazada for the same model is titled 6.9 inch. We cannot tell which fields the seller filled by hand; treat the table as unreliable and check the maker’s specification page.
SellerApple Flagship Store: LazMall authenticity text shown, 313.5K sold by store, seller rating 98%. Listing rated 4.9 from 1,855 ratings.
What buyers reportRead 17 of the 18 one and two-star reviews (28 Oct 2025 back to 28 Sep 2026) and the 10 most recent overall. By keyword: 3 describe a unit that stopped working or faulted, 2 mention battery, 1 heat, 1 a used or opened unit, 16 mention refunds, returns, delivery or the seller. A very small share (about 1%) of the 1,855 ratings.
Price₱85,890 for 256GB on 2026-11-01, about ₱335.51 per GB. The 512GB model is ₱99,690.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max has the strongest seller record here: Apple’s own LazMall store, 313.5K sold and 1,855 ratings at 4.9.

It costs about ₱335 per GB of storage, more than five times HONOR, and the specification table (chip and screen size) disagrees with another Apple listing on the same site.

Compliance marksNone shown in the listing text or specification table (no NTC reference, no PS or ICC mark). A phone is a radio device with a battery and a charger, so this matters. Photos and description images were not examined.
Specifications statedExynos 2200 (table); 6.9 inch AMOLED, 2796×1290; 5000mAh battery; 12MP front camera; 12GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB storage. Warranty 1 year (local supplier). No rear camera figure.
ClaimsThe title is the product name only; no marketing claims.
InconsistenciesThe table lists an “Exynos 2200”, the chip of an older generation of Samsung phone, and a “Coming Soon” launch date for a phone already on sale. These look like template values; we could not verify them, so treat the table as unreliable and check Samsung’s own specification page.
SellerSamsung: LazMall authenticity text shown, about 1 year on Lazada, 852.7K sold by store, seller rating 98%. Listing rated 4.7 from 856 ratings.

This listing has the largest share of one-star ratings of the five (42 of 856, about 5%).
Price₱80,790 for 12GB+256GB on 2026-11-01, about ₱315.59 per GB. On Shopee the search card shows about ₱96,990.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has the biggest screen (6.9 inch AMOLED) and the most units sold by its store (852.7K) of the five.

Claims“Leica 5x Telephoto”, “Up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom”, “Leica Live Moment”, “6500mAh (typ) Battery”, “67W HyperCharge”.
InconsistenciesThe title names no chip, while the table says Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, an older-generation chip than the title’s other flagship claims suggest; we could not verify it and the seller may have filled it in by hand. The “120x” zoom is an AI figure, not an optical one.
SellerXiaomi Official Store Global: LazMall authenticity text shown, seller rating 99%. Listing rated 5.0 from 66 ratings; store sales and age were not shown.
What buyers reportOnly 1 two-star rating exists out of 66; we read it (3 weeks ago) and the 10 most recent overall. None describe a fault. A very small sample.

Xiaomi pairs a 6500mAh battery and 67W charging with a Leica-branded camera for about ₱36,000, sold by Xiaomi’s official store.

Specifications statedSnapdragon 7 Gen 4; 6.59 inch AMOLED, Full HD, 120Hz; 12GB RAM plus 12GB extended RAM with 256GB storage; 6500mAh; 50MP front camera; 4k video; Bluetooth 5.4; NFC; dual SIM; Type-C. Warranty: local supplier (length not shown).
Claims“50MP Ultra Wide Selfie Camera”, “4K HDR Ultra-Steady Video”, “Dustproof / Waterproof” (no IP rating given).
InconsistenciesThe title does not say 24GB: it says 24GB (12+12), and the second 12GB is extended RAM taken from storage. The table says “Dustproof / Waterproof” with no IP number, so the level of protection is unknown.
SellerOPPO: LazMall authenticity text shown, 622K sold by store, seller rating 99%. Listing rated 5.0 from only 24 ratings.
What buyers reportNo one or two-star ratings exist out of 24. We read the 10 most recent overall; none describe a fault. The rating base is too small to tell us much. On Shopee the OPPO Official Store lists it at ₱35,999.
Price₱36,999 for the one variant on 2026-11-01, about ₱144.53 per GB at 256GB.

OPPO has the most detailed specification table of the five: chip, screen refresh rate, Bluetooth version, NFC and front camera.

It has only 24 ratings, the “waterproof” claim has no IP number, and 24GB includes 12GB of extended RAM.

Why it scored well

  • Chip, refresh rate, Bluetooth and NFC stated
  • 622K sold by the store, rating 99%
  • No poor ratings yet

Watch-outs

  • Only 24 ratings
  • Waterproof claim with no IP rating
  • 24GB includes 12GB extended RAM
  • No NTC reference shown

How to choose a high-end phone

  • Decide the storage first: price per GB differs by more than five times between these phones (general advice).
  • Use the maker’s own specification page for the chip and screen size, because seller tables can be wrong.
  • Read the variant list: the headline price is for the cheapest storage and colour.
  • Buy from the brand’s official LazMall shop and keep the order details for the warranty.
  • Use the maker’s charger and stop using a phone that swells, overheats or smells of burning (general safety advice).

How we researched this guide

We searched Lazada (LazMall first) for “smartphone” on Lazada with the LazMall filter, price ₱30,000 to ₱150,000, sorted by popularity on November 1, 2026, read each finalist listing: title, variants and prices, specification table, seller details and ratings. We then read buyer reviews for each pick: up to 20 of the most recent one and two-star reviews and the 10 most recent overall, counted by keyword (very few one and two-star reviews exist for four of the five, so the counts are small; we did not copy any review). Reviews can be fake, paid for or about delivery, and they did not change any score. Phones are a high-risk category in our rubric, so a listing needed a known brand sold by its official or Mall shop. We read five (one per brand) and did not read other flagships in the search, so this is not a complete list. We scored them with our published rubric using the default weights: provenance and compliance 25, spec disclosure 20, claim plausibility 20, consistency 10, seller and after-sales 15 and value 10. We then searched Shopee for the same models: only the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has a Shopee listing, from Samsung’s Shopee Mall shop (from ₱96,990, against ₱80,790 on Lazada; we read price, shop and star counts, not the Shopee reviews). The OPPO Reno15 5G is in OPPO’s official Shopee shop at ₱35,999 (we saw only the search card, because the page would not open). We searched the HONOR and Xiaomi official Shopee shops and found no 400 Pro or 17T, and found no iPhone 17 Pro Max listing, so those three link to Lazada only. We did not use or test any product.

Limits: we could not search an official NTC or PS list, and none of the listings shows a reference. We did not examine photos or description images, so a mark shown only in an image would not appear here. Performance, camera quality, battery life and software support were not tested. The specification tables of the Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi listings contain entries we could not verify. Prices change quickly and 11.11 and 12.12 prices are temporary. The Best In Davao editorial team reviewed this guide before it was built, and we have not checked the Shopee and Lazada affiliate programmes’ rules for this category.

Frequently asked questions

Which high-end phone scored highest?

The HONOR 400 Pro scored 59/100 on its stated numbers, warranty and price per GB, ahead of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max (57). None shows a Philippine approval mark.

Why is the iPhone not first if its seller record is strongest?

Our rubric weighs the listing's disclosure and consistency too: the Apple table's chip and screen entries contradict another Apple listing, and the iPhone costs about five times as much per GB of storage as the HONOR.

Is the HONOR 400 Pro really 24GB RAM?

Not as physical memory: the title writes 24(12+12)GB, meaning 12GB RAM plus 12GB extended RAM borrowed from the 512GB storage.
