Our verdict

TECNO SPARK GO 3 (67/100, about ₱7,796) is the best-documented phone under ₱10,000 we read on Lazada, followed by realme Note 80 (64/100, about ₱8,559) and POCO C81 Pro (61/100, from ₱8,210). TECNO has the longest stated warranty (2 years) and the lowest price per GB; the OPPO A6x has the most specific hardware but its title promises 12GB and 256GB that it does not sell.

No phone scored above 67, because none of the listings shows an NTC reference or any other Philippine approval, and several state little about the chip or warranty length. We read five listings from official shops; we did not read others in the search (itel, Infinix, Redmi A7), so this is not a full market list. General advice: charge with the maker’s charger and stop using a phone that swells or overheats. This is a listing review, not a hands-on test.

We searched Lazada for “smartphone” on Lazada with the LazMall filter, price ₱3,000 to ₱10,000, sorted by popularity on November 1, 2026, picked one phone per brand from official shops with large sales, read each listing and its reviews, and ranked five.

₱60.91 to ₱124.98 per GB

Price per GB of storage runs from about ₱60.91 (TECNO, 128GB) to about ₱124.98 (vivo, 64GB only). The OPPO A6x, whose title says 256GB, sells no 256GB variant. Prices were checked on 2026-11-01.

Prices and stock checked on November 1, 2026. Compliance: we looked for an NTC type-approval reference and a PS or ICC mark in each listing text and found none; we did not examine photos or description images. We did not use or test any product unless a hands-on note says so.

What the RAM, storage and chip on a phone listing mean

Phone listings stress RAM, storage and battery size, but not always in a way you can compare. We scored what each listing states and read buyer reviews separately. Our evidence is the listings and the reviews we read on 2026-11-01, not a benchmark or hands-on test.

  • “Extended RAM” or “virtual RAM” (for example the “+8” in OPPO’s 12GB title) borrows storage space for memory; it is not extra physical RAM (general information).
  • A bigger battery (mAh) does not by itself mean longer use; the screen, chip and software matter too, and the listings give no run-time test.
  • A phone is a radio device with a lithium battery and a mains charger, so a missing NTC reference or PS mark is a real gap; a mark would prove a mark, not that your unit is safe (general information).

What the claims on these listings actually mean

ClaimWhat it coversKey exclusion
“12GB (4+8)+256GB”The title bundles physical RAM (4) with borrowed storage RAM (+8) and a storage sizeThe listing sells 4GB with 64GB or 128GB, not 256GB
“IP64” / “IP54”A stated dust and splash protection levelNot water-proof; IP5x/IP6x numbers refer to dust, and the 4 means splashes only
“Military-grade” / “MIL-STD”The maker says the phone passed drop or durability testsNo test standard or result named in the listing
“4k” video recordingThe specification table says the camera records 4KThe same page gives an HD+ screen and a 13MP camera; we could not verify it

Claims“120Hz”, “IP64”, “13MP AI FlashSnap”, and “Video Recording Resolution: 4k” in the specification table.
InconsistenciesThe specification table lists 4k video recording, but the same page gives a 1280×720 screen and a 13MP camera and does not mention 4K elsewhere; we could not verify it. The storage options read 4+64GB / 4+128GB in the title and 4GB/64GB and “NEW 4/128GB” in the variant labels.
SellerTecnoPh: LazMall authenticity text shown, about 2 years on Lazada, 154.1K sold by store, seller rating 100%. Listing rated 5.0 from 9,698 ratings.
What buyers reportOnly 2 one-star reviews exist out of 9,698 ratings (none at two stars); we read both (24 May 2026 and about two weeks old) and the 10 most recent overall. One mentions a fault, one heat and one battery or charging. A very small sample.
Price₱6,796 (4+64GB) and ₱7,796 (4+128GB) on 2026-11-01. About ₱60.91 per GB at 128GB.

TECNO is the cheapest per gigabyte here and has the longest stated warranty (2 years), from a LazMall shop with 154.1K sales and almost no poor ratings.

It is a basic phone: an HD+ screen and a Unisoc chip, and the specification table claims 4K video that the rest of the page does not support.

  • Lowest price per GB of storage (₱60.91)
  • Only 2 one-star ratings out of 9,698

Claims“6300mAh Massive Battery”, “IP 54 Drop & Water Resistance”, “Ultra Slim”.
InconsistenciesThe title names only the 4GB+64GB model; the 128GB variants are priced ₱2,060 more (₱8,559). IP54 is a splash rating, which the title phrases as “Drop & Water Resistance”.
Sellerrealme PH LUZON: LazMall authenticity text shown, 10K sold by store, seller rating 100%. Listing rated 5.0 from 591 ratings.
What buyers reportNo one or two-star reviews exist out of 591 ratings. We read the 10 most recent overall; none describe a fault. A small rating base.

realme states its chip (Unisoc T7250, 12nm), screen size and battery, and has the cheapest 64GB model in the set (₱6,499).

The 128GB model costs about ₱2,060 more, the warranty length is not shown, and only 591 ratings exist, so the rating base is the smallest of the four with data.

Claims“12GB (4+8)+256GB”, “6500mAh Battery”, “120Hz Bright Display”, “48-month Fluency”.
InconsistenciesThe title says 12GB (4+8) RAM and 256GB storage, but the only variants sold are 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB. The “+8” is extended RAM borrowed from storage, which the title does not say, and 256GB is not offered at all.
SellerOPPO: LazMall authenticity text shown, 622K sold by store, seller rating 99%. Listing rated 5.0 from 1,322 ratings.
What buyers reportRead 3 one and two-star reviews (31 Dec 2025 to 16 Sep 2026) and the 10 most recent overall; only 3 exist out of 1,322 ratings. By keyword: 1 mentions a fault, 1 heat, 1 the display, 1 a refund or seller issue. A very small sample.
Price₱8,299 (4+64GB) and ₱9,799 (4+128GB) on 2026-11-01. About ₱76.55 per GB at 128GB.

OPPO gives the most specific hardware here: a named Snapdragon 685 chip, a 6.75 inch Full HD AMOLED screen and a 6500mAh battery.

The title promises 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that the listing does not sell (4GB with 64GB or 128GB), and it costs the most per GB of the four phones with storage figures.

Claims“Military-Grade Resistance”, “IP64 Dust and Water Resistance”, “4-Year Battery Health”, “200% Volume”.
InconsistenciesThe title and highlights say a 6.74 inch display while the table says screen size 6 inches. The table also lists the screen as AMOLED, which the title and highlights do not mention. “Military-grade” names no test standard.
Sellervivo: LazMall authenticity text shown, 299.1K sold by store, seller rating 99%. Listing rated 5.0 from 446 ratings.

Price₱7,999 for the only variant (8GB+64GB) on 2026-11-01. About ₱124.98 per GB of storage.

vivo has the most RAM of the five (8GB) at a plain price, from a LazMall store with 299.1K sales and no poor ratings.

Only 64GB is sold, so it is the dearest per GB, and the page contradicts itself on screen size (6.74 inch in the title, 6 inches in the table).

Why it scored well

  • 8GB RAM at ₱7,999
  • IP64 stated
  • No one or two-star reviews on 446 ratings

How to choose a phone under ₱10,000

  • Decide the storage first: 64GB fills quickly with photos and apps, so compare prices at 128GB (general advice).
  • Look for a named chip, a stated screen resolution and the warranty length in the listing, not only RAM and mAh.
  • Read the variant list: the price on the headline is for the cheapest storage and colour.
  • Buy from the brand’s official LazMall shop and keep the order details for the warranty.
  • Use the maker’s charger and cable, and stop using a phone that swells, overheats or smells of burning (general safety advice).

How we researched this guide

We searched Lazada (LazMall first) for “smartphone” on Lazada with the LazMall filter, price ₱3,000 to ₱10,000, sorted by popularity on November 1, 2026, read each finalist listing: title, variants and prices, specification table, highlights, seller details and ratings. We then read buyer reviews for each pick: up to 20 of the most recent one and two-star reviews and the 10 most recent overall, counted by keyword (very few one and two-star reviews exist for these phones, so the counts are tiny; we did not copy any review). Reviews can be fake, paid for or about delivery, and they did not change any score. Phones are a high-risk category in our rubric, so a listing needed a known brand sold by its official or Mall shop. We read five and did not read others in the search (itel, Infinix, Redmi A7), so this is not a complete list. We scored them with our published rubric using the default weights: provenance and compliance 25, spec disclosure 20, claim plausibility 20, consistency 10, seller and after-sales 15 and value 10. We then searched Shopee for the same models and found a matching listing for all five (linked as a second option; we read price, shop, warranty and star counts but not the Shopee reviews). Prices differ: the realme Note 80 4GB+64GB is ₱9,999 on Shopee against ₱6,499 on Lazada, and the vivo Y05e Shopee listing shows “No Warranty”. We did not use or test any product.

Limits: we could not search an official NTC or PS list, and none of the listings shows a reference. We did not examine photos or description images, so a mark shown only in an image would not appear here. Performance, camera quality, battery life and software support were not tested. Prices change quickly and 11.11 and 12.12 prices are temporary. The Best In Davao editorial team reviewed this guide before it was built, and we have not checked the Shopee and Lazada affiliate programmes’ rules for this category.

Frequently asked questions

Which phone under ₱10,000 scored highest?

The TECNO SPARK GO 3 scored 67/100 on its stated numbers, warranty and price per GB. None shows a Philippine approval mark.

Is the OPPO A6x really 12GB RAM and 256GB?

Not as sold on Lazada: the title says 12GB (4+8) and 256GB, but only 4GB with 64GB or 128GB is offered, and the "+8" is extended memory taken from storage.

Why are there so few buyer complaints in your reviews?

These listings have very few one and two-star ratings, so we could read only a handful; reviews can also be filtered or fake, so we did not let them change a score.
