Our verdict

HP 15-FC0933AU (60/100, ₱34,799) and Infinix XBOOK 15 (60/100, ₱34,999) are the best-documented student laptops under ₱35,000 we found on Lazada: both give 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD at that price, the Infinix states a 50Wh battery and 65W USB-C charging, and the HP has the longer-known brand warranty. The Acer Aspire Go 15 (55/100, ₱26,761) is the cheapest and the only one with ratings, but has just 128GB.

No laptop scored above 60, because none of the listings shows an NTC reference or any other Philippine approval, and three have no buyer ratings yet. We left out unbranded and cross-border listings (see the careful-with table). General advice: charge with the maker’s charger and stop using a laptop that swells, overheats or smells of burning. This is a listing review, not a hands-on test.

We searched Lazada for “laptop” on Lazada with the LazMall filter, price ₱18,000 to ₱35,000, sorted by popularity on November 1, 2026, kept one laptop per known brand from official or Mall shops, read each listing and any reviews, and ranked four.

₱68 to ₱209 per GB

Price per GB of SSD runs from about ₱67.97 (HP, 512GB) to about ₱209.07 (Acer, 128GB), three times as much. Chips and RAM differ, so this is a rough value guide. Prices were checked on 2026-11-01.

Prices and stock checked on November 1, 2026. Compliance: we looked for an NTC type-approval reference and a PS or ICC mark in each listing text and found none; we did not examine photos or description images. We did not use or test any product unless a hands-on note says so.

What the RAM, storage and processor on a laptop listing mean

Laptop listings state RAM, storage and a processor name, but rarely battery size or weight. We scored what each listing states and read buyer reviews separately; where a listing has no ratings we say so instead of guessing. Our evidence is the listings on 2026-11-01, not a benchmark or hands-on test.

  • 8GB of RAM is a workable minimum for school use today; 4GB laptops in the search were left out for that reason (general advice).
  • A 128GB drive leaves little room after Windows and updates; compare price per GB, but also decide how much storage you actually need (general advice).
  • A laptop is a radio device with a lithium battery and a mains charger, so a missing NTC reference or PS mark is a real gap; a mark would prove a mark, not that your unit is safe (general information).

Compliance marksNone shown in the listing text or specification table (no NTC reference, no PS or ICC mark). A laptop is a radio device (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) with a lithium battery and a mains charger, so this matters. Photos and description images were not examined.
Specifications statedAMD Ryzen 3 7320U; 8GB RAM; SSD (512GB in the title); AMD Radeon graphics; 15.6 inch display, 1920 x 1080; Windows 11. Warranty 1 year (local manufacturer warranty). No battery size, weight, ports or storage type (NVMe or SATA).
Claims“15.6 Full HD”, “Ryzen 3 7320U”, “Windows 11”; no marketing claims.
InconsistenciesThe table lists a screen frame rate of “1 Hz”, which cannot be right for a laptop display. The seller probably filled the field wrongly; the title’s “Full HD” matches the 1920 x 1080 entry.
SellerJW Summit: LazMall authenticity text shown, about 1 year on Lazada, 421.6K sold by store, seller rating 96%. The listing has no ratings or reviews yet, so there is nothing to read on this product.
What buyers reportReviews not read: this listing has no ratings or reviews yet. The score for seller and after-sales rests on the shop’s record, not on buyer reports for this laptop.
Price₱34,799 on 2026-11-01, about ₱67.97 per GB of SSD. On Shopee the same model is ₱35,999.

The HP gives the most storage for the money (512GB at ₱34,799) with a named AMD Ryzen 3 7320U and an HP manufacturer warranty of 1 year.

The listing has no buyer ratings yet, states no battery size or weight, and has a nonsensical “1 Hz” screen entry.

Why it scored well

  • 512GB SSD and 8GB RAM stated
  • Lowest price per GB of SSD of the four (₱67.97)
  • 1-year local manufacturer warranty

Claims“65W PD Fast Charging”, “50Wh Large-Capacity Battery”, “1080p FHD Camera”, “Neat & Modern Metallic Design”.
InconsistenciesThe title says a 15.6 inch display, while the specification table says 16 in. The table names the processor only as “intel core”.
SellerInfinix: LazMall authenticity text shown, 891.2K sold by store, seller rating 99%. The listing has no ratings or reviews yet.
What buyers reportReviews not read: this listing has no ratings or reviews yet. On Shopee the same model has only 3 ratings (average 4.0).
Price₱34,999 on 2026-11-01, about ₱68.35 per GB of SSD. The same price on Shopee.

Infinix is the only listing that states a battery size (50Wh) and charging (65W USB-C PD), and it pairs an Intel Core i5-1334U with 8GB and 512GB at ₱34,999 from Infinix’s own store.

It has no ratings on Lazada yet, the warranty length is not shown, and the title and table disagree on screen size (15.6 against 16 in).

Why it scored well

  • 50Wh battery and 65W PD charging stated
  • Intel Core i5-1334U with 512GB SSD
  • Official Infinix LazMall store, 891.2K sold

Specifications statedAMD Ryzen 3 (named “Ryzen 3 30”); 8GB LPDDR5 RAM; 256GB SSD; AMD Radeon 610M; 15.6 inch FHD, 1920 x 1080; Windows 11 Home; HDMI, two USB 3.2 ports (one Type-C), headphone jack. Warranty 1 year (local supplier). No battery, weight or camera figure.
ClaimsNo marketing claims beyond the specification list.
InconsistenciesThe title and table give the processor as “AMD Ryzen 3 30”, which is not a model name we could match to a Ryzen chip, so the processor is unclear. Web search results for the model code 15AMN8 describe a Ryzen 3 7320U, but this listing does not say so, and we did not verify it.
SellerGAMEXTREME: LazMall authenticity text shown, about 1 year on Lazada, 509.5K sold by store, seller rating 98%. The listing has no ratings or reviews yet.
What buyers reportReviews not read: this listing has no ratings or reviews yet.
Price₱34,990 on 2026-11-01, about ₱136.68 per GB of SSD, twice the HP and Infinix.

Lenovo gives a clear spec list (LPDDR5 memory, Radeon 610M, a full port list) from a LazMall distributor with 509.5K sales.

It costs about twice as much per GB as the HP and Infinix (256GB), the processor is written as “Ryzen 3 30”, and no ratings exist yet.

Why it scored well

  • Full port list including USB-C stated
  • LPDDR5 memory named
  • 1-year warranty

Watch-outs

  • Processor written as “Ryzen 3 30”
  • Only 256GB at the price of 512GB models
  • No ratings on this listing yet
  • No Shopee link: the Shopee listing is a different model code

Claims“AI Laptop” in the title for a Ryzen 3 7320U; no NPU or AI performance figure is given.
InconsistenciesThe brand field reads “Gamextreme” (the distributor) rather than Acer, and the title calls it an “AI Laptop” with no AI hardware stated. Windows 11 Home runs in S Mode, which only installs apps from the Microsoft Store unless switched out.
SellerGAMEXTREME: LazMall authenticity text shown, about 1 year on Lazada, 509.5K sold by store, seller rating 98%. Listing rated 4.9 from 13 ratings.
What buyers reportNo one or two-star ratings exist among the 13 ratings (12 five-star, 1 four-star). We read the 6 most recent reviews; none describe a fault. A very small sample.
Price₱26,761 on 2026-11-01, about ₱209.07 per GB of SSD, the highest of the four. On Shopee the same model is ₱31,990.

The Acer is the cheapest laptop here (₱26,761) and the only one with ratings on Lazada (4.9 from 13), from a LazMall distributor with 509.5K sales.

It has only 128GB of storage, which fills quickly, and it ships in Windows S Mode, so it suits light study use best.

Why it scored well

  • Lowest price of the four
  • 4.9 from 13 ratings, none poor
  • Full port list including HDMI and USB-C

Watch-outs

  • Only 128GB of SSD storage
  • Windows 11 in S Mode
  • “AI Laptop” with no AI hardware stated
  • Shopee price about ₱5,000 higher

How to choose a laptop for school

  • Choose 8GB of RAM or more and at least 256GB of SSD storage (general advice).
  • Look for a battery size and a charger rating in the listing, not only the chip name.
  • Read the variant list: the headline price is for one configuration, and many laptops in the search had no buyer ratings yet.
  • Buy from the brand’s own or a Mall shop and keep the order details for the warranty.
  • Use the maker’s charger and stop using a laptop that swells, overheats or smells of burning (general safety advice).

How we researched this guide

We searched Lazada (LazMall first) for “laptop” on Lazada with the LazMall filter, price ₱18,000 to ₱35,000, sorted by popularity on November 1, 2026, read each finalist listing: title, variants and prices, specification table, highlights, seller details and ratings. We then read buyer reviews where they exist: only the Acer has any (13 ratings, none low-star), so for the other three there was nothing to read and we say so; reviews can be fake, paid for or about delivery, and they did not change any score. Laptops are a high-risk category in our rubric, so a listing needed a known brand sold by its official or Mall shop or distributor; four met that bar. We scored them with our published rubric using the default weights: provenance and compliance 25, spec disclosure 20, claim plausibility 20, consistency 10, seller and after-sales 15 and value 10. We then searched Shopee thoroughly for the same models (full model name, the brands’ official shops and Google): the HP, Infinix and Acer are on Shopee Mall shops (linked as a second option; we read price, shop, warranty and star counts, not the Shopee reviews), and the Lenovo is not linked because the only Shopee listing found has a different model code, no specifications and a price about ₱10,000 higher. We did not use or test any product.

Limits: we could not search an official NTC or PS list, and none of the listings shows a reference. We did not examine photos or description images, so a mark shown only in an image would not appear here. Performance, battery life, screen quality and keyboard feel were not tested. Three of the four listings have no buyer ratings yet. Prices change quickly and 11.11 and 12.12 prices are temporary. The Best In Davao editorial team reviewed this guide before it was built, and we have not checked the Shopee and Lazada affiliate programmes’ rules for this category.

Frequently asked questions

Which laptop under ₱35,000 scored highest?

The HP 15-FC0933AU and Infinix XBOOK 15 tied at 60/100, both with 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. None shows a Philippine approval mark.

Is 128GB enough for a student laptop?

It can be tight after Windows and updates fill part of it; the Acer Aspire Go 15 is the only laptop here with 128GB (general advice).

Why do three of the laptops have no reviews?

The listings are new and have no buyer ratings yet, so we could not read any; we did not guess, and the guide says "reviews not read".
