Guides are written by the Best In Davao editorial team. We do not accept payment for placement or scores, and we do not let a marketplace or brand review a guide before it is published.
How we research
We read each finalist’s full listing, record what the seller states, look up the compliance marks that apply and note where each check came from. If we could not verify something, the guide says so. See how we rate.
Buyer reviews
We read buyer reviews for every pick, paraphrase what we find, never quote or name reviewers, and say how many we read. They sit beside the score and do not change it, except through the safety gate for high-risk products.
Hands-on notes
Our guides are listing reviews. We only add a hands-on note when someone on the team actually bought and used the product, and the note says what was bought, when, and what was observed. It is kept separate from the scored review.
Keeping guides current
Every guide shows when it was last updated. Models, prices and stock change quickly, so we re-check guides on a schedule and replace picks that can no longer be bought.
Corrections
When we find a wrong number, a broken link or a product that has changed, we correct the guide, update the date and, if a score changes, say why. A way to send us corrections will be added to this page.
