Badges such as Shopee Mall and Preferred describe the seller. They are a useful starting point, and they are not a product check.
What a badge helps with
- It is a reason to look closer at a shop that is a brand’s official store or a long-standing seller.
- It makes it easier to compare a product against the same item sold elsewhere.
What a badge does not tell you
- It does not tell you that the product carries the marks it needs (see NTC and DTI marks).
- It does not make a specification honest. Read the listing itself.
- It does not replace a warranty. Check what the shop states about warranty and returns.
In our rubric the seller counts toward the score, but a badge on its own never earns a product a place in a guide.
